The communication of the World Rivers Conference, organized in collaboration with the Nature Association and the international DAMOCRACY movement, which aims to bring together indigenous peoples and international non-governmental organizations striving to protect their natural habitats and cultures against dams, was conducted with the extensive participation of both local and foreign press members.
The last stop of the 3-day roadshow was the ancient city of Hasankeyf in the Tigris Valley. Representatives of international nature conservation organizations from Iraq, Kenya, Argentina, the USA, and the EU, along with the Kayapo Indians, who are globally recognized for their anti-dam struggle in the Amazon region of Türkiye and Brazil, were brought to the agenda in the Turkish media with different and original content.
The World Rivers Conference was a campaign that attracted great interest from the local and foreign press.
