Since its inception in 1992, Çayeli Bakır, which is regarded as one of the cornerstones of metal mining in Türkiye, has not only made significant contributions to the local and national economy but also left lasting values to the region. To immortalize these values, a documentary film proposal has been suggested.
The documentary film titled Cevherden Öteye, filmed and launched in 2018, not only portrays the story of how the people of the Eastern Black Sea region, who primarily relied on tea agriculture, were introduced to safe mining with the establishment of Çayeli Bakır, but also highlights the contributions of the company to the region through its social development projects and the positive effects of employment.
