TURKEY'S LARGEST CONTAINER SETTLEMENT WAS REALIZED IN MALATYA SAMANKÖY

The opening ceremony of the "Hayat İyi Yaşam" Center established by Hayat Holding with the cooperation of Hacettepe University, coordination of AFAD and support of Malatya Governorship in Malatya Samanköy, Turkey's largest container settlement, was held.

Established on 1 acre of land in Malatya Samanköy Container City with a capacity of 3,800 containers, where 20 thousand earthquake victims are accommodated, each container area of "Hayat İyi Yaşam" Center is designed to meet the different needs of earthquake victims in the container city.

The content of all trainings and workshops at the "Hayat İyi Yaşam" Center, which was designed with inspiration from the “Hayata İyi Bakıyoruz (We take good care of life)” approach and became operational on October 30, was prepared with the contributions of academics from different departments of Hacettepe University. While focusing on the psychological and social needs of infants, children, young people and the elderly who suffered the most from the earthquake, it is aimed to rehabilitate them in the medium and long term by prioritizing their mental, cognitive and physical development.
