A special social media project was carried out with highly followed influencers on World HS Day to raise awareness about Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), which is known as dog mammary disease in the community and occurs with chronic painful inflammation in the armpits, groin, buttocks, and under the breasts.
The project, conducted on Instagram by Ayşe Tolga, Ece Kumkale (hassasanne), Merve İpek Öztürk, and Yeliz Yılmaz (ollaluna), began with a survey on the awareness of HS disease. The following day, engaging content about the results was shared.
A total of 29,876 people participated in the survey, which was live for 24 hours. It was revealed that only 3% of these individuals were aware of the disease. Following the survey, the project reached 660,442 people through the shared posts.
